Typical Structure of the Decanter Centrifuge Drum

The Decanter Centrifuge, affectionately known as the 'decanter,' comprises essential components such as the drum, screw, differential, frame, and cover. Ingeniously designed, the drum and screw rotate harmoniously in the same direction, maintaining a precise differential speed.

Materials are seamlessly fed into the spiral inner cylinder via the feed pipe, swiftly accelerating into the rotating drum. Harnessing the immense power of centrifugal force, denser solid materials are efficiently deposited on the drum wall, forming a robust sediment layer. The screw, an engineering marvel, continuously propels the sludge towards the drum cone's end, facilitating its discharge through the designated port.

In this ingenious process, the lighter liquid phase forms an inner liquid ring, elegantly spilling out through the overflow port at the drum's larger end and effortlessly draining out through the designated drain port. This enables seamless liquid-solid two-phase separation or the sophisticated liquid-liquid-solid three-phase separation.
